Terms of Service

Welcome to HEX Profile ("HEX Profile", "we", "our", or "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the HEX Profile website and personality quiz (the "Service") at hexprofile.com. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, taking the quiz, or otherwise using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and the Privacy Policy. We may update these Terms from time to time; continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Eligibility

The Service is intended for users who are at least 13 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, consistent with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). By using the Service, you represent that you are 13 or older. If you are under 13, or a parent or guardian believes a child under 13 has provided us with data, please contact us at [email protected] so we can delete that data promptly.

3. The Service Is Not Medical or Professional Advice

HEX Profile is a free, entertainment-oriented personality quiz intended for self-discovery and reflection only. Quiz results, archetypes, and any related content are provided for informational and entertainment purposes. They do not constitute clinical, medical, psychological, psychiatric, or other professional diagnosis, advice, assessment, or treatment, and must not be used as a basis for decisions about your health, career, relationships, or any other significant life matter. If you need professional advice, consult a qualified professional.

4. Intellectual Property

All content in the Service — including the quiz questions, scoring methodology, archetype definitions and descriptions, results, text, graphics, and branding — is owned by or licensed to HEX Profile and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may view and use the Service for your personal, non-commercial use only. You may not copy, modify, reproduce, distribute, scrape, resell, or create derivative works from our content without our prior written permission.

5. User Accounts and OAuth

You may sign in using Google or X (Twitter) OAuth. Your account is created using the name and email your provider shares with us, as described in the Privacy Policy.
You agree to provide and maintain accurate account information and to keep your login credentials secure.
You are responsible for all activity under your account. Notify us at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized use.
You may delete your account at any time; deletion removes your personal data from our systems, as described in the Privacy Policy.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms
Attempt to access, probe, or interfere with the Service, its servers, or its data beyond your own account
Scrape, harvest, or bulk-collect quiz content, results, or user data
Create accounts through automated means, misrepresent your identity, or create accounts on behalf of others without authorization
Use the Service to harass, defame, or harm others, or to attempt to impersonate HEX Profile

7. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, in whole or in part, at any time and for any reason (including violation of these Terms), with or without notice. On termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. You remain responsible for any activity that occurred before termination.

8. No Warranty

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT QUIZ RESULTS WILL BE ACCURATE OR MEANINGFUL. THE QUIZ AND RESULTS ARE PROVIDED FOR ENTERTAINMENT AND SELF-DISCOVERY ONLY.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, HEX PROFILE AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS (USD $100).

10. No Paid Services; No Refunds

HEX Profile is a free service. There are no paid tiers, no subscriptions, no premium features, no in-app purchases, and no transactions processed through the Service. Because you cannot pay us anything, there are no fees, charges, refunds, cancellations, auto-renewals, or free trials — and nothing in these Terms creates any obligation on our part to provide refunds or credits. Any request for a refund of charges is therefore not applicable. If we ever introduce paid features, we will update these Terms and obtain your consent before charging you.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time by posting the updated version on this page, with a new effective date. Material changes will be communicated through the Service where reasonably practicable. Your continued use of the Service after the new effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, People's Republic of China, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hong Kong SAR.
